Position Overview
Kemin is seeking a dedicated Senior Human Resource Generalist to join our North American Human Resources team. Based in Verona, MO, this role will support both our Verona and Sarcoxie plants. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support in recruitment, employee relations, training and development, communications, and ensuring consistent and effective application of company policies, procedures, and Human Resource practices. The incumbent will have a visible presence allowing employees to ask questions and be available for all Human Resource needs.

Responsibilities
Point of contact for compensation and benefit questions. Work with corporate Compensation & Benefits Manager as requested/needed.
Facilitate compensation changes for the local production sites with approval for finance and management.
Carry out full cycle recruitment, including managing relationships with local staffing agencies.
Conduct new employee on-boarding.
Schedule pre-employment/post-offer physicals, drug screens and background checks, working with providers and invoice processing.
Create and maintain personnel files, as required.
Verify and maintain work authorization documentation and manage re-certifications as required.
Organize and conduct training & development activities.
Main point of contact for employees regarding all HR related questions.
Assist with worker’s compensation claims as needed and requested by corporate HR and EHS departments.
Lead all employee relations efforts including investigations, discipline, and employee engagement with assistance from Managers as needed.
Coordinate employee communications for the local production sites.
Act as a change agent to support Company initiatives.
Manage employee referral program.
Assist with Kemin’s recognition programs.
Qualifications
Education and work experience that includes one of the following (high potential candidates possessing alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered for a higher or lower level position.):
U.S. High School Diploma, 5+ years experience
Associates Degree, 3+ years exerience
Undergraduate/Bachelor’sDegree with 1+year's experience
Superior interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain an extreme level of confidentiality is a must.
Ability to actively cooperate and interact with all entities of Kemin is essential.
Highly effective written communications and high attention-to-detail is a must.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
Must be able to handle sensitive matters (some situations may be highly emotional or require conflict resolution.)
Previous recruitment and selection experience in a production environment preferred.
Must be able to work with all levels of employees.
Must be able manage projects and assignments effectively.
Ability to interact well with others in a team environment.
Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Previous experience in applicant tracking or HRIS systems preferred.
Familiarity with COBRA, ADA, FLMA, HIPAA and other related state and federal regulations is preferred
Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing demands
A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution, and possession of a distinct sense of urgency.
Demonstrated integrity and honesty in all aspects
