The Supply Chain Analyst (Transportation & Analytics) will be a role combining transportation operations, analytical and project management skills. The Supply Chain Analyst will conduct daily transportation operations consisting of running Transportation Management System (TMS) plans to consolidate customer orders and assign carriers with the goal of on-time delivery. They will be a Subject Matter Expert in the TMS system and coordinate expedited freight, address daily operation questions from customer service and troubleshoot system issues. The Supply Chain Analyst will also have direct responsibility for completing moderately complex analyses and leading tactical analytics projects which include combinations of elements of demand & supply planning, distribution, inventory management, and customer service.
Manage multiple modes of transportation
Run TMS plans; consolidate customer orders and tender to carriers while ensuring customer requirements are met at optimal cost
Maintain TMS profiles and settings
Maintain routing guides for shipments outside of TMS system
Support new product launch and corporate projects
Responsible for freight payment coding and resolution
Potential carrier claim management
Distribution Network Analysis
Total Supply Chain Cost Analysis
Contract Rate Structure Analysis
Supply Chain Performance Benchmarking
Project Management of low complexity
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
BS in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business preferred
3-4 years supply chain and/or operations experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Data Mining – Data Models, Microsoft Access, Enterprise Systems, Business Reporting Systems, External Data Sources
Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
Network Modeling – Manual or Software-based
Analytical skills - Core Statistics
Analytical Curiosity – Comfortable with and enjoys working in very detailed, data intense environment
Influence – Develop credibility and ability to sell recommendations within supply chain organization.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel Expert-Level, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Must be self-motivated and highly adaptable to change.
TMS experience is preferred
SAP experience is preferred
