Washington University of St. Louis Statistical Data Analyst - Biostatistics - 51304 in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Division of Biostatistics. The position is located at the Becker Medical Library. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: Performs data analysis and/or data management to support collaborative studies of gene-environment interactions using statistical software packages, including statistical genetics packages. Opportunities exist for learning/gaining new skills in statistical genetic data analysis and for career growth. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs data analysis and/or data management using statistical software packages and statistical genetics packages, including generation of tables and graphs. 2. Assists other investigators and staff in the study. 3. May need to perform other tasks as the needs arise. Required Qualifications * Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as, Math, Statistics, Computer Science or Epidemiology). * Experience and proficiency with data analysis and data management utilizing statistical packages utilized by department/s. Preferred Qualifications * Master’s preferred in statistics, computer science or related field. * Familiarity and experience with SAS and/or R. * Expertise and experience in statistical analysis of genetic studies, including GWAS (genome-wide association studies) and Omics analysis. * Experience working in Unix/Linux environment and bash script programming. * Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. * Demonstrated organization skills, and attention to detail. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $47,985 - $61,193 annually.
