Cigna Senior Client Account Support Specialist in St. Louis, Missouri

Intro

The Senior Client Service Specialist is responsible for handling a multitude of requests for their appointed workstream including issue analysis, problem solving and other tasks to ensure satisfactory results for the Client Service Team (CST) and Sales and Account Management Operations (SAMO). Position requires intermediate account service and operational knowledge in order to successfully complete assigned work. Position requires frequent and detailed communication with internal cross-functional partners but is not external facing. Position requires proactive approach to identify opportunities for improvement and projects, ensuring workload remains at full capacity based on accomplished cross-training. Position will actively participate and/or lead process improvement activities and other projects as assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains ownership for assigned Service Requests with a focus on quality and timeliness to meet all defined service standards to ensure CST and client satisfaction

  • Works closely with CST while handling work stream specific assignments including but not limited to one or more of the following: client user access, client terminations, communications, file feeds, reporting requests and general inquiries

  • Works independently to resolve standard and complex problems using existing procedures; engages cross-functional support and escalates as needed

  • Shows ability to engage in and lead process improvement initiatives and other team projects

  • Demonstrates leadership abilities by assisting with peer training, mentoring and support

  • Supports special projects as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office products, e-mail and the Internet

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills highly desirable

  • Strong attention to detail; problem solving and analytical skills preferred

  • Knowledge of the health care and PBM industry and its products and services desired

  • Ability to work cross functionally to resolve issues

  • Strong focus on customer service

  • Ability to manage timelines and meet tight deadlines
