This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

This position is in the Department of Human Resources. This position is for the Danforth Campus.

This position is currently working remotely, but will be located at West Campus. The ability to travel locally to various locations across campus may be required.

Essential Functions

POSITION SUMMARY:

Serves as a subject matter expert in retirement plans administration. Provides day-to-day administration of the 403(b) and RMSA plans.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Retirement plans administration responsibilities, to include:
  2. Comply with all notice requirements.
  3. Coordinate with vendor on non-discrimination testing.
  4. Coordinate contribution refunds and excess deferrals, when necessary.
  5. Administer small balance rollover process.
  6. Annually review and coordinate approval of 403(b) earnings codes.
  7. Audit vendor transactions.
  8. Audit HR/payroll system processing for 403(b) university contribution.
  9. Verify vendor files processing appropriately.
  10. Test internal systems changes.
  11. Perform retirement plan data analysis and periodic data entry.
  12. Proactively identify, propose solutions to, and correct issues that may arise.
  13. Complete retirement plans projects, as assigned.
  14. Perform RMSA plan administration.
  15. Assist employees with complex retirement plan questions.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous experience with retirement plan administration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience administering large and complex retirement plans.
  • Retirement plan third party administration experience.
  • Experience working with retirement plan vendors.
  • Advanced experience working with Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated effective analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including communicating highly technical content.
  • Effective critical thinking skills and problem solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Focus on compliance and adherence to various legal and regulatory requirements.

Salary Range

The hiring range for this position is $23.07 - $29.42 per hour.
