SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position is a key contributor to the timely and accurate completion of the company’s monthly, quarterly and annual global financial close, consolidation and reporting process. This position is responsible for completing/reviewing various operational reports submitted by the regional shared service sites. This position interacts with a wide variety of individuals within the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform monthly reviews of operating reports prepared by various operating units finance personnel

  • Completion of monthly, quarterly and annual financial close requirements.

  • Prepare journal entries and manage post-close entry process.

  • Account for various corporate assets and liabilities.

  • Prepare journal entries for intercompany accounting and related reconciliations.

  • Prepare and communicate close calendar.

  • Contribute to the completion and review of monthly and quarterly year-to-date balance sheet fluctuation analyses.

  • Prepare government reports and ad hoc financial information requests.

  • Prepare foreign exchange rates used for company-wide financial needs.

  • Work with the Hyperion administration team to implement metadata changes needed for reporting and business needs.

  • Prepare various reports, analyses and schedules for internal and external auditors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education required:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Experience:

4 or more years of relevant accounting experience, with a combination of industry and public accounting experience preferred

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

CPA certification

Skills/Competencies:

Demonstrates proficiency in applying accounting expertise; responds positively to changes in business processes; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to take initiative; ability to plan, organize and prioritize responsibilities; excellent PC skills

Other Skills:

Experience with Hyperion reporting and SAP general ledger systems preferred
