Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Brown School of Social Work at the Danforth Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: Primary responsibilities for this position include managing the day-to-day activities of study, including supervision of any project staff, coordination of evaluation activities, oversight of data collection and analyses, and development of reports and other products. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manage project evaluation and research. * Oversee research, development, and writing to meet project deliverables. * Manage data collection (quantitative & qualitative) content development. * Actively disseminate project findings: prepare summaries, present at scientific conferences, participate in preparation of manuscripts. 2. Project coordination. * Manage develop, and coordinate all project activities, including managing expert interviews and serving as the primary contact for external partners. * Prepare regular progress reports and final reports for funding agency. * Manage budgetary expenditures in cooperation with financial manager. * Develop and implement project timelines. * Deliver and track all components of an intervention. 3. Supervise project staff – Hire, manage, and oversee work of research assistants (staff and students). 4. Assist in grant development. 5. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree and four years of job-related experience or a master’s degree in public health, social work, social sciences or public policy. * Experience working with low-income populations. * Experience in project management. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with planning and organization of multi-day events. * Experience with dissemination and implementation research. * Supervisory experience. * Understanding and knowledge of public health terminology. * Demonstrated superior writing and editing skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including faculty, staff, students, public affairs, and health and news organizations. * Strong analytic skills and the ability to think strategically and programmatically. * Ability to represent the project effectively with scholars, students, and community groups. * Ability to work independently and exercise outstanding judgment. * Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a complex organizational environment. * Ability to manage the projects budget and resources. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $38,162 - $51,500 annually.
