The Boeing Company Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist in St Louis, Missouri

Boeing Government Security is currently seeking a Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist in Saint Louis, MO.

The selected candidate will support several highly complex and dynamic proprietary programs located in the Virtual Warfare Center in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts, alongside the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action

  • Assists CPSO experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls and Government Security Investigations

  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action

  • Performs Visitor Control and Badging duties

  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities in compliance with government regulations/requirements

  • Assists COMSEC custodians and less experienced personnel in COMSEC responsibilities

  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs

  • Leads and Performs Personnel Security team and/or processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, PAR submittals to customers and schedule customer briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements

  • Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information

  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (alarm inspections, room inspections, program badge room access, and debriefings) e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements

  • Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements

  • Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams

  • Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries

  • Support 4000+ visitors each year by processing Visitor badges and creating card readers for program area access

  • Frequent communication with Customer Security, Program Management, other CPSOs and Leads, Security Management, and other decision-makers regarding daily security impacts to this proprietary program

  • Provide security direction and guidance and conduct self-reviews to ensure compliance

  • Assist the CPSO in leading, training, mentoring, and guiding less-experienced security professionals in the execution of daily security duties in a Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environments

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in Industrial Security

  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

  • 1+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP, and/or SCI

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Experience with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Security Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4; and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Directives

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
