Position Summary

Manager SAP Order To Cash will provide global cross-company process & application IT SAP leadership and be the owner of the global SAP template for the Order to Cash area. Scope includes partnering with Customer Service, Logistics, Domain specialists, and internal IT functional teams to see opportunities to implement SAP and enabled business transformation at scale. Functional accountability includes all areas of sales, order entry, warehousing, and logistics-transportation including but not limited to reporting, billing, shipment scheduling and warehouse management.

Manager SAP Order To Cash is tasked with helping to establish and refine the SAP global template. Manager Order To Cash shall possess the ability to consistently lead and deliver effective OTC implementation activities in a timely manner to meet business objectives.

Manager SAP Order To Cash will have direct line responsibility for the partner resources, the business functional specialists, and internal IT resources which will comprise the core team. They will manage and develop peers and team members by bringing them SAP knowledge and experience overall and helping them to come up to speed on SAP S/4HANA implementation processes.

Accountabilities:

  • Define capability roadmaps and strategies to support the delivery of the value chains’ strategies

  • Develop business case documentation and support to further project authorization processes and deliverables

  • Propose, define and deliver projects that enable the capability roadmap and strategies, in support of the aims of the value chains

  • Provide hands-on leadership and operational support of the Order To Cash Processes

  • Serve as the subject matter expert, guide the creation of innovative solutions on time and within cost objectives and provide leadership.

  • Partner with SAP Implementation teams, Implementation consulting partner, offshore consultants, and business teams to understand future state requirements and design, perform gap analysis between current state and future state data, design / develop efficient mapping and own the effort to get data ready for migration

  • Ability to lead and communicate SAP data standards and limitations to the business and assist them to get data ready

  • Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities and provide regular updates to business users and management team.

  • Use SAP knowledge and business experience to identify business processes and issues that can be addressed using SAP.

  • Work with management and other SAP professionals to craft, implement, test, train, and rollout those solutions.

  • Apply problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to visualize and develop solutions to key business or technical challenges

  • Act as liaison conveying needs of the business to information technology teams and technology constraints and capabilities to business teams.

  • Communicate and build consensus among key partners on solutions to business problems that may arise

  • Lead and support project initiatives to expand the usage all Order to Cash related applications/systems to improve and expand Order to Cash related processes across the enterprise

  • Defines, prioritizes, and manages program and project initiatives

  • Tracks ROI for business initiatives including cost, benefits, and risk

  • Gathers high-level business requirements and defines scope during initial discovery by conducting meetings/interviews, and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with partners

  • Interfaces with vendors to understand whether vendor products will meet business requirements

  • Maintains up-to-date awareness of the current and future directions of the industry and associated technologies, and, where appropriate, makes recommendations for implementation of new/upgraded systems and technologies

  • Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation of IT projects

  • Manages, in a matrix environment, a team of information technology professionals to deliver portfolio initiatives, if necessary

  • Establishes accountabilities for team members and provides feedback for managers on the performance of team members

  • Manages Performance Evaluation Process for direct reports

  • The Manager may in the future be responsible for managing a team and certainly project teams, possibly even outside his or her primary functional support area

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • 10+ years of related work experience in Supply Chain and Order to Cash

  • At least 2+ years of S/4 HANA OTC Experience

  • Experience in preparing requirements documentation, design and technical documentation.

  • Experience in leading blueprinting sessions around OTC needs and processes

  • Experience working in a global company supporting order management in multiple geographies including foreign sales

  • Project Management and reporting experience.

  • Ability and knowledge to drive a project forward with proactive communication, risk management, and team management

  • Ability and experience with project budget development, tracking and reporting

  • Ability to perform with little direction and work with remote team members in other locations.

  • Ability to work in a team -oriented environment while demonstrating flexibility to perform in multi-task situations.

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing company needs and deadlines.

  • Strong systems / process orientation particularly in finance with proven analytical thinking and problem -solving skills.

  • Superb communication with strong business/customer focus.

  • Lead individual/s within the SAP OTC area or as assigned

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • MS or MBA Business is desirable

  • Knowledgeable on Accounting standard methodologies e.g. month-end/quarter close, financial statement consolidation

  • Ideally Manufacturing or Distribution experience.

  • Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA and Tax software (e.g. Avalara or Vertex)

  • Experience integrating with leading 3PL systems and DC’s

  • Experience integrating with leading commercial applications like Demantra and/or Promax

  • Experience integrating with leading ecommerce platforms like Shopify

  • Experience with RPA / AI / Automation in the order entry / management processes

  • Knowledge of STO’s and moving inventory intra/inter company

  • Knowledge of SAP TMS or third-party TMS solution and integration with SAP

  • Knowledge of SAP Hybris and its integration with S4 HANA

Work Environment

  • Office setting – frequent sitting

  • This job involves carrying a mobile device and may require some off-hours and weekend work.

  • Able to travel occasionally to international locations.

  • 20 – 25% Travel Required
