Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Department of University Advancement. This position is for the Danforth Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Regional Advancement Programs, manages a team of 12 or more project managers, coordinators, and other administrative staff who play a vital role in Regional Advancement Programs. The Manager, through the management of the team, works with regional directors to help them meet their monthly fundraising plan for their top 10, 25, and 50 prospects. The Manager leads the team in facilitating all details of 100+ regional events in cities across the country. The Manager reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Regional Advancement Programs. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manage the daily activities of the Regional Advancement Program’s team of 12 or more project coordinators, coordinators, and administrative assistants. Cultivate a positive, collaborative team environment that encourages high performance, shared workload, and professional advancement within the team. 2. Strategize with the Regional Advancement Programs staff of over 20 fundraisers to support their fundraising efforts throughout the country. Manage their top 10, 25, and 50 prospects, engage the volunteer members of their Regional Cabinets, implement a large number of cultivation and stewardship events, and manage their active travel schedules. 3. Expand the active training and team-building program for the team of project managers, coordinators, and administrative assistants. Manage a collection of detailed checklists, templates, and instructional materials for the purpose of maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and service to regional directors and donors. 4. Review applications and conduct interviews. Make hiring and firing decisions in collaboration with the Associate Vice Chancellor. Monitor the performance of staff, meeting regularly to give positive direction and address concerns. Complete annual performance reviews. 5. Task team members to other units for complex projects across University Advancement. 6. Manage special projects for the Associate Vice Chancellor for Regional Advancement Programs. 7. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree. * Three or more years of administrative management, office management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in advancement in a university setting. * Strong project management skills and the ability to set and meet personal and team deadlines with the flexibility to manage competing and changing priorities. * Confident and collaborative, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Capacity to develop productive relationships at all levels, establish trust, and provide thoughtful counsel. * Strong written communication skills. * Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy. * Ability to analyze, condense, and synthesize information provide accurate analysis and summaries. * Active manager and coach who can challenge a team to improve. * High standards of performance and great attention to detail. * Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with databases. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $48,087 - $58,000 annually.
