Peoples Health Centers Family of Companies Intake Specialist - Receptionist in St. Louis, Missouri

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Site Manager and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Intake Specialist - Receptionist screens clients via phone, in the community and in person and provides accurate demographic and household information regarding all People's Community Action Corporation's (PCAC) programs, and schedules clients for intake appointments for services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Serve as the initial contact for all visitors in person or by phone • Provides information to visitors about PCAC, its services and its programs • Provide information about eligibility for assistance • Complete client-family Intakes electronically or manually, and add Intakes to MIS system • Answers agency telephone; screens client/family for potential needs, files and is proficient in utilizing Microsoft Outlook software, inputs/provides information to clients for programs • Responsible for maintaining calendar and scheduling intake appointments for programs. • Ensure all documents and information are gathered and filed by case identification to the correct client file per audit requirements • Performs a variety of typing, copying tasks and projects. • Assists in the distribution of interoffice correspondence and mail. • Recognizes and maintains the confidentiality of all files, materials and client information • Maintains accurate, updated records and files • Assists in preparation and distribution of timely reports • Provide support at outreach events in the community • The Executive Administrator and the Direct Supervisor may assign or occasionally require other duties, including direct services to clients and special events. REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma, high school equivalency, Associates Degree preferred • Minimum three years of work related experience • Ability to use a complex database • Ability to work with diverse populations • Ability to create a positive image as one of the first points of contact • Demonstrated ability to assess client needs and take appropriate action/steps • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others If we feel that you closely match our qualifications, we will contact you.
