Your Role and Responsibilities
We seek a video expert specializing in motion graphics and animation to join the new Owned Media team within IBM Corporate Communications. This person will design and create enticing motion graphics for the IBM Newsroom and a variety of corporate social media channels. The successful candidate has the ability to simplify and communicate complex technological topics
through motion graphics with 2D and 3D animations. This person thrives on receiving feedback and applying it in a fast-paced environment. As a strong project and asset manager, this person is able to collaborate with both communications colleagues as well as other creatives to scope and execute projects to achieve desired outcomes. They are determined to stretch their own creative boundaries and are constantly learning new design techniques and solutions to create shareworthy graphics. This specialist must be able to learn and comply with IBM guidelines and design standards.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years of experience creating motion graphics and animation
Proven experience creating shareworthy visuals and designs for social media and websites
Ability to blend and composite video footage into motion designs
Strong technical skills and proven ability to use a variety of software including Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere
Ability to respond to internal feedback, data and analytics, and user feedback to improve creative work in future iterations
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Fine Arts education
Graphic design or art background
4+ years of design studio, agency or in-house content creation experience
Video production experience (e.g., shooting and editing video)
