BUNZL Financial Analyst in St. Louis, Missouri
Description
The Financial Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving the business. This role will provide acquisition support and overall support with business analysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Acquisition Support
Review financial performance of acquisition targets and prepare a summary to present to executive team.
Assist with preparation of financial aspects of Executive Committee papers
Review financial due diligence reports prepared by Big 4 firm, challenge and summarize findings.
Draft completion account and earn out account rules.
Provide accounting advice and input to sale and purchase agreements and shareholder agreements.
Modelling, preparation, and presentation of post-acquisition forecasts
Review post-acquisition performance.
Prepare completion account and earn outs.
Business Analysis Support
Providing business analysis for CEO and CFO, including
Prepare market trends of key segments, benchmark business performance with those of the markets.
Provide up-to-date analysis of performance of key customers, suppliers, and competitors.
Identify underlying business trends and drivers of performance across the business.
Conduct ad hoc analysis on an as needed basis.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
CPA Required
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) Preferred
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst Preferred
At least 1 year of experience of working in a transaction services department of a top accounting firm, with experience of financial due diligence work on acquisitions Required

Must have an inquisitive and analytical mind-set to ask and challenge.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write and produce compelling proposals, collateral, research reports and client facing presentation materials.

Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects to different internal customers.
Persistence coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of shared information and/or assignments.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
