Executive Communications Lead (Senior Advisor) - CEO Communications/Healthcare
Cigna has an exciting opportunity for a strategic and motivated communications professional to join our Executive Communications team. This key role will support a range of communications activities – from writing to presentation development – for Cigna’s senior leaders, including the C-suite. The successful candidate will be experienced in the preparation of talking points and messaging, short speeches, presentations/graphics materials, and video treatments for CXOs and senior executives.
Research, develop and write executive talking points, key messages, letters, webcasts, and video treatments for internal and external audiences;
Contribute to executive communications strategy, identifying areas to implement thought leadership programs in support of business goals;
Contribute to the development of PowerPoint and other creative presentation materials to support executive speeches;
Provide strategic counsel to communications leadership on C-suite-level engagement;
Research data, proof points and anecdotes to include in materials;
Monitor results of communications programs, using specific metrics to track progress and insights for continuous improvement.
Ideal candidates will offer
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related discipline and at least 8-10+ years of clearly related experience;
Demonstrated skill in writing and editing C-suite or senior executive communications for large organizations, with the ability to convey complex information in clear, compelling ways;
Strong grammar skills;
Healthcare and/or PBM experience is highly desirable;
Comfort and skill in graphics and presentation design;
Interest and experience in conducting research;
Exceptional attention to detail;
A proven willingness and ability to work quickly in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment;
Strong work ethic and positive attitude;
Ability to work with a high level of independence as well as collaboratively as part of a team;
Demonstrated executive presence; ability to provide coaching, new ideas, sensitive feedback and real-world lessons learned to leaders at all levels;
Portfolio of samples (written and graphics) will be required;
