KPMG is currently seeking an Executive Assistant, Tax to join our Business Tax Services organization.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to partners and managing directors, including assisting with calendar of meetings and appointments in Microsoft Outlook, arranging travel plans and internal and external meetings and preparing expense reports
Assist partners, managing directors and managers issue engagement letters to clients, including coordinating with engagement setup specialists
Help managers on billing procedures and extract billing data from firm systems, prepare sample invoices and supporting documents, work with manager to complete and issue final invoices; learn and apply firm risk management procedures and support partners and managers in drafting engagement letters for issuance to clients following required firm policy
Support partners, managing directors and managers in finalizing client service deliverables such as tax memoranda, proposals, slide decks, emails and spreadsheets; proofread deliverables and liaise with firm graphics support team members in the creation of polished and accurate work product; assist with filing documents in firm-approved document management system
Help the process for developing and presenting internal and external tax training events, including coordinating with events staff and presenters and managing the administrative procedures required to ensure that attendees receive continuing professional education credits
Build relationships with internal and external clients and obtain an understanding of priorities, projects and preferences in order to meet expectations and demonstrate professionalism and tact in interactions with others; Act as a liaison with members of the functional team, management and external clients and handle confidential information
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of administrative experience, preferably in a professional services environment
High School diploma or equivalent; completed coursework from an accredited college/university is preferred
Strong writing and grammar skills
Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems, ask questions for clarification and understand when to escalate
Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, web-based research skills and ability to learn firm-wide applications and technology packages
Ability to prioritize competing requirements and/or deadlines with the capacity to work overtime, as needed
