Cigna Director, Pharmacy Marketing and Strategic Communications - Express Scripts in St. Louis, Missouri
The Director will be responsible for developing new and comprehensive strategies for Express Scripts Pharmacy to engage internal and external stakeholders and ensure the consistent and coordinated execution of high impact pharmacy marketing initiatives. They will develop methodologies for measuring and assessing the effectiveness of all external communication channels, and make appropriate changes to improve effectiveness and deliver outstanding results.
Develop approach to pharmacy’s brand and thought leadership platforms, creating multi-year story arcs, and corresponding roadmap and project plans
Develop annual asset and media investment recommendations
Identify and leverage tools that help to measure the impact and attribution of brand and pharmacy or thought leadership campaigns
Continuously balance and optimize paid, owned, and earned investment campaigns
Continuously seek new ways to both express pharmacy’s identity, improve our awareness, and differentiate our positioning
Work with digital experience team, supply chain, and Cigna to generate a consistent look and feel assets that reflect/enhance pharmacy’s positioning, and mission
Drive the content curation and channel distribution strategy for all communication channels including: external pharmacy order/processing communications (Email, Text, AOM, Letter), web, mobile, social, client collaterals, supply chain HD products, and paid campaigns
Review media activities for compliance, consistency, quality, and timeliness
Create and implement a communication plan, preparing calendars to develop and disseminate information to appropriate groups
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred; MBA preferred
At least 8 years’ relevant product and strategy development / B2C marketing or corporate communications experience in healthcare industry preferred
Experience operating in a management consulting environment highly preferred
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies
Strong knowledge of marketing / communication practices and techniques; experience developing media-rich content for targeted audiences using diverse channels
Ability to translate strategies into an executable plan
Drives solutions and accountability to ensure buy-in and execution support for growth
Demonstrates the capacity to synthesize complex information from disparate sources into a clear compelling story that helps the organization commit to action, helps leaders imagine and understand future potential, and ability to quickly translate ideas and insights into presentation-ready documents
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to work effectively in cross-functional team setting and influence business partners
Outstanding meeting facilitation and organizational skills
Strong business, financial and strategic communications acumen
Demonstrated ability to execute on multiple projects and excel in a results-oriented and highly-matrixed environment
Ability to problem solve, identify and remove roadblocks, triage and prioritize issues
Ability to be adaptable, flexible, resourceful, and self-directed
Minimal travel anticipated
