Salary

  • Minimum: $36,400.00

  • Maximum: $56,888.00

    Nature of Work

Incumbents in this position are responsible for researching, developing and coordinating pre-service and in-service training programs for the Department of Public Safety's Division of Corrections. Duties include: analyzing training needs; developing lesson plans, training materials and competency tests; conducting training classes; preparing reports; and maintaining records.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a related field; plus one year of experience in an adult federal, state or local correctional institution or detention facility that includes planning, developing and conducting in-service orientation and training programs. OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

MEDICAL: Candidates will be required to pass a "Drug Screen" as part of the medical examination.
