Cigna Business Analysis Lead Analyst in St. Louis, Missouri

We are looking for a responsible individual that will provide support for a wide range of forecasting and planning activities. The candidate will work with Developers, System Administrators, and business areas to develop resources plans, financial forecasts, track budgets, and solutions to business and system needs. Our Business Analyst will work with industry leading systems as they support the rapidly changing demands in the Healthcare industry.

Major Duties:

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Regularly meet with technology partners to update resource and financial forecasts.

  • Maintain reports related to budgets, team plans, and other technology costs.

  • Analyzes designs and prepares application/system specifications for information systems solutions which address business needs and methods for testing and installing them.

  • Support reporting requirements for technology planning and regulatory requirements.

  • Assists in developing user documentation and departmental policies and procedures that impact the use of application systems.

  • Communicate design to all stakeholders and varying levels of the organization

  • Works closely with technology teams to implement solutions that support company objectives


  • 5+ years of system analysis or business analysis or technology delivery experience including managing budgets, delivery planning, and writing business specifications requirements / technical design documents / solution overview documentation.

  • Strong understanding of the system development life cycle. Specifically Agile delivery.

  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of applications. Specifically Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence tools

  • Must have ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing systems analyst tasks. Some independent judgment required in setting priorities of tasks among multiple assigned projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills including the ability to work with both internal and external customers and all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and timelines with minimal supervision.

  • Problem solving and conflict management skills including the ability to manage conflict and find mutually acceptable resolutions.

  • Both a strategic and tactical mindset to enable the development of a general high level design and to enable detail reviews of Technical Detail Designs
