This position will provide day-to-day support in compliance to regulatory, statutory, customer and internal requirements to process and procedures. To provide technical and administrative leadership to ensure that performance to processes and quality of products conform to established company, international and governmental regulatory standards, agency guidelines, and customer requirements by reviewing, auditing and maintaining quality assurance policies, processes, and procedures.
Ensure audit preparations are conducted to prevent potential external non-compliance
Ensure that procedures are compliant to customer and regulatory requirements, and being executed appropriately thru auditing
Verify effective corrective actions plans are in place that will result in resolution or risk mitigation plans are in place to minimize product quality noncompliance or process noncompliance during external audits.
Plan pre-audit and audit function of operational plans and procedures and coordinate with internal and external customer to Ensure satisfactory quality system performance.
Plan and organize company resources in order to achieve audit goals and objectives during external audits
Resolve issues at department or company level to mitigate risk and audit non-compliances.
Conduct pre-audit and audits using benchmarking to meet regulatory, statutory, customer and internal requirements.
Review products, processes, software, equipment and measurement systems requirements for compliance and develop audit process improvement procedures.
Analyze and compile audit performance reports and process improvement statistics in order to determine and improve process compliance.
Provide technical expertise to company employees, customers and regulatory agencies to Ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements.
Provide education and coaching on the company’s quality system to peers and leadership team.
Ensure that plans/processes are in place and executed to minimize/eliminate product escapes
Ensure that corrective actions have data and data analysis to effectively identify root cause, containment, interim and long term corrective action planning and decisions, as well as quantifiable verification and monitoring exit criteria
Support efforts to Ensure overall customer satisfaction relative to external audits
Participate in the creation and revision of operational/program plans and/or procedures and coordinate with customer representatives to Ensure satisfactory quality system performance.
Resolve issues at department level to mitigate non-compliance risk.
Provide technical expertise to company employees, customers and regulatory agencies to Ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements. Make recommendations that affect quality, products, and processes
Bachelor’s degree in techincal field of study (IE: Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Quality, Mathmatics etc.); Any equivalent combination of education and experience
7 years of professional experience in quality auditing
U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements
Prior experience with AS9100
Prior experience with NADCAP
Prior experience in RCCA
Certified Lead Auditor or internal auditor by external agency to the aerospace standard.
A fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems and professional ethics.
Proficient in quality system and quality system development, documentation and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.
Full knowledge of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, tools and follow-up.
Able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.
Knowledgeable of reliability, maintainability, and risk management, including key terms and definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools and reporting.
Thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. This includes knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive and corrective actions, and how to overcome barriers to quality improvements.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point
Excellent written, verbal and collaboration skills
Flexible work availabilities
Frequently required to spend long hours sitting at a work stations.
May be required to walk or stand for brief periods. Frequently required to spend long hours walking and standing on the production floor.
May be required to use stairs when elevator is not available.
May occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move up to 25 pounds of office supplies and materials.
May be required to reach with arms and hands and to stoop, kneel or crouch
