Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking talented and highly motivated Digital Transformation consultants to join our fast-growing Cognitive Process Re-engineering practice within IBM Services.
IBM Cognitive Process Re-engineering is a management consulting group focused on business operations strategy and transformation in the digital age. We advise clients on business transformation through an analytical approach that combines human-centered design with an understanding of emerging technologies and platforms to create Intelligent Workflows.

What Do We Look for In A Successful Associate Partner At IBM?
Demonstrated ability to help senior industry executives determine where to compete, how to differentiate, and how to innovate business models by taking advantage of new technologies
Mental curiosity to question, research, clearly define problems, and work out innovative solutions to transform business operations
Passion to understand the applications of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Blockchain and adapt modern approaches and innovative solutions to clients
Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the desire to take ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions; as well as applying deep industry and/or functional domain expertise in Aftermarket / Aftersales for Automotive, Aerospace & Defense sector clients across Sales & Marketing, Pricing and Commercial Excellence
Proven track record of team and client success, reflecting an ability to manage large and complex projects, lead and teach associates, and partner with client stakeholders to achieve common goals
Experience in selling and delivering high-value engagements by nurturing client and prospect relationships and tailoring offerings to achieve client and business goals
Powerful communication and storytelling skills, successfully applying verbal and written communications to influence business leaders and team members by exposing and defending points of view
Experience and interpersonal skills to thrive in and foster an intense team atmosphere, ability to build direct working relationships across all levels of the IBM and client teams
As an Associate Partner, you’ll join a team of highly motivated colleagues with prior experience from top consulting firms, industry leaders, or start-ups. Your responsibilities will include:
Drive functional and technical strategies to create compelling value propositions for clients
Develop innovative offerings around bespoke topics as Aftermarket commercial and revenue growth, advanced customer segmentation, and pricing
Leading a multi-disciplinary team of talented consultants and managers to deliver insights-based, decision-ready recommendations that inform the strategic agenda for our clients; as well as practical roadmaps and plans to invest in, allocate resources, execute, and manage strategic recommendations to enable clients to pivot to action
Develop client relationships that position yourself and IBM for credibility and success
Ability to leverage IBM tools and technology (e.g., Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, Blockchain) to bring value to clients
Establish and manage trusted advisor client relationships
Monitor and control delivery excellence associated with large scale process services contracts
Contribute to thought leadership and point of view materials aligned with select domain
Up to 75% travel
Location requirements: reside anywhere in USA living near a major USA metro city/airport
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Professional and Technical Expertise:
10 years of general consulting including target operating model design, business process re-design, business architecture
5 years of experience developing proposals and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Spare parts price optimization leveraging analytics
On-line, data-driven digital marketing for OEMs, Tier-1 Suppliers, and Dealers
Skills - extensive content expertise in the following:
Automotive and Industrial Equipment Industry
Aftermarket parts and service
Sales, Marketing, and Pricing
Consulting Sales and Delivery
Teamwork at the highest levels
Willingness to travel up to 4 days a week
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- 2 years of experience incorporating design thinking and creative approaches to problem solving and strategy formulation
