Washington University of St. Louis Administrative Coordinator - Pediatrics Hospitalist Medicine - 51296 in St. Louis, Missouri

Job Type/Schedule This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location This position is in the Department of Pediatrics Hospitalist Medicine. The position is located at the Northwest Tower. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions POSITION SUMMARY: Position coordinates office functions, programs and schedules, provides administrative services, and performs specialized/technical duties with minimum supervision. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Coordinates staff services, interoffice activities, schedules, programs, and related administrative needs. 2. Administers/prepares reports, minutes, correspondence, lectures and administrative materials required for the direction of the department. 3. Maintains established departmental policies, procedures and objectives including regulatory records for license, reports, and notifications as necessary. 4. Evaluates and recommends purchasing sources. Assists with telephone problems, works with vendors to establish and verify terms and agreements. 5. Maintains all department keys, locks and mailboxes. Coordinates ordering and distribution of supplies and handles problems concerning material received. 6. Monitors the general maintenance of the building, notifies maintenance of problems, places work orders, and follows-up with housekeeping on the completion of tasks. 7. Develop budget reports, implements financial monitors, cost transfers, and payroll/purchasing processing. Other Functions: 1. Assists with visitors and customers questions and needs. 2. Assists with payroll processing and other clerical functions when needed. Required Qualifications Equivalent of associate degree with two to four years experience in administrative support. Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree. * Administrative experience in a University medical setting. * Prefer experienced user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Time management and organizational skills. * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Salary Range The hiring range for this position is $19.18 - $24.47 per hour.
