Please Note: This position may be filled at either the Vendor Management Analyst, Strategic Vendor Consultant or Manager level. Manager will determine level based upon the selected applicant’s skillset relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Location: Mason, OH is the preferred location but will consider other locations.

Vendor Management Analyst

Responsible for supporting vendor management activities to achieve goals and objectives for the Service Operations enterprise function(s). Ensures vendor conformity to the company's operational processes and management guidelines. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists in the execution of vendor agreements to ensure compliance, monitor contractual and committed benefit requirements.

  • Coordinate collection of metrics regarding vendor performance; rationalizes data; and submits reports to management.

  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other vendor contractual commitments.

  • Provides support to vendor management team. Assists with vendor management projects and/or payment of vendor invoices.

Strategic Vendor Consultant

Responsible for managing relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and key decision makers in order to meet or exceed business goals. Acts as single point of accountability for internal and/or external business partners. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Develops communication documents and training criteria related to external client facing program success measures.

  • Manages the execution of vendor agreements to ensure compliance, monitor quality, and develop corrective action plans.

  • Responsible for managing the overall vendor performance per contractual service level agreements (SLA) and ensures vendor conformity to enterprise standards, operational processes and management guidelines to ensure business goals and budget are achieved for an enterprise function.

  • Participates in cross-functional teams to implement vendor services.

  • Drives continuous improvement activities and implementations across functional areas.

  • Recommends and implements vendor parameters regarding vendor production and quality in support of business objectives.

  • Provides SME support in constructing performance-based, accountability-driven vendor/business partner agreements, statements of work and action plans and procedures as needed.

  • Facilitates the planning and implementation of the transition of new work items assigned to the vendor in support of strategic goals and budget.

  • Reviews, reconciles and pays vendor invoices.

  • Works with business representatives to assure that all aspects of implementation run smoothly.

Strategic Vendor Manager

Responsible for managing the overall vendor performance per contractual service level agreements (SLA) and ensures vendor conformity to enterprise standards, operational processes and management guidelines to ensure business goals are achieved for an enterprise function. Acts as single point of accountability for internal and external business partners. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Defines and oversees the execution of complex vendor management and implementation strategy for a defined set of vendors.

  • Proactively develops effective business relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and key decision makers in order to meet or exceed expectations.

  • Responsible for the development and ongoing management of one or more implementation programs that are multi-state, multi-function and multi-year in scope.

  • Directs the development, planning, prioritization, approval, implementation and compliance of on-going vendor programs.

  • Establishes program governance when needed to assure response to issue escalation; develops program budget and ensures program meets its stated objectives.

  • Provides subject matter expertise in response to strategic business issues; researches applicable subject matter practices; and remains aware of industry trends.

  • Drives continuous improvement activities and implementations across functional areas.

  • Recommends and implements vendor parameters regarding vendor production and quality in support of business objectives

Qualifications

Vendor Management Analyst

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in business or related field; 1-3 years experience related to vendor/contract management, operations, and/or project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Experience with claims/claims processing preferred

  • Implementation experience is a plus

  • Experience working with cross functional teams

  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization

Strategic Vendor Consultant

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in business or related field required; 3-5 years of increasingly responsible professional level contract management/vendor management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Experience with claims/claims processing preferred

  • Implementation experience is a plus

  • Experience working with cross functional teams

  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization

Strategic Vendor Manager

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in business or a related field; 5-7 years of process improvement, inventory management, contract management, vendor management, project management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Experience with claims/claims processing preferred

  • Implementation experience is a plus

  • Experience working with cross functional teams

  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization

  • Ability to travel may be required.
