As the Associate Product Specialist, you will help support our Product Managers who manage $75 million to $300 million in annual sales revenue. An Associate Product Specialist will work with many key departments across the company, including Professional Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Finance, Store Design, Pricing as well as Store and Distribution Center Operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, excellent communicator and have a willingness to learn and grow with the company, as well as demonstrate superior leadership and negotiation skills. Essential Job Functions

  • Assist Product Managers in maximizing profitability of our categoriesthrough involvement in product and supplierselection, line reviews, and supplier negotiation.

  • Assist Product Managers with promotional planning and execution.

  • Present formal recommendations to senior and executive level management.

  • Communicate with stores and other departments within the company to ensure execution of merchandising projects.

  • Direct communication with existing and potential suppliers.

  • Make recommendations for strategic business plans.

  • Travel to manufacturers in the United States and abroad including, but not limited to, China, SE Asia, and Mexico may be required.

    Skills and Qualifications

  • B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or 3+ years of equivalent retail storeexperience.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial performance metrics.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated, analytical, and committed to Excellent Customer Service.

  • Previous experience in the automotive aftermarket preferred.

  • Sense of urgency to create new programs with suppliers and follow up when appropriate.

  • Being an automotive enthusiast and hobbyist is a plus.
