Edward Jones is undergoing a transformational change, and workforce planning is even more critical to ensuring that leaders are intentionally and effectively building our future workforce. We are seeking an experienced Organization Development practitioner to join our internal consulting team.The Organization Consulting team is a part of the Talent Management team in Human Resources. The Organization Consulting team is a center of excellence for Workforce Planning, Organizational Design and Team Effectiveness. Within our areas of expertise, we are responsible for diagnosing organizational and human capital needs and developing, delivering and scaling capabilities that are critical accelerators of business strategies in a rapidly changing and increasingly complex environment. We are seeking a person to join our team responsible for developing and executing astrategic roadmap for building a workforce planning center of excellence (WFP COE). We are building a workforce planning model that addresses both strategic and operational workforce planning capabilities and aligns with other human capital processes (e.g., organization design, talent management and headcount planning). It is imperative that the approach we build is grounded in Edward Jones' business strategy and supports the current and future business needs.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with Human Resources colleagues and business leaders tocreate the strategic direction, design, development and implementation of workforce planning for Edward Jones.This will include the strategy development and implementation of processes that will help leaders understand the workforce implications of their business strategy, understand what roles are key to delivery of that strategy, collecting data and analytics about the current supply of talent and future talent needs.Assist leaders develop a plan to address any gaps or surpluses of talent. The consultant will collaborate very closely with the Human Resource Business Partner team during design, implementation and support of the workforce planning initiatives.Work closely with HR analytics team in the development of a Workforce Analytics strategy to support our Workforce Planning initiatives and foster improved HR decision making.Collaborate with the HR analytics team to establish the best measures, metrics, and predictive analytics to identify the key organizational pain points, overseeing the development of analytical plans, ensuring execution of the plans and delivery of key findings via data visualization techniques to share insights in a concise and simple manner.Position Requirements:Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in an internal or external consulting role with senior leaders and Human Resources colleagues to diagnose needs and develop/implement organizational development (workforce planning and change) solutions.Needs to have additional relevant career experience influencing teams, building subject matter expertise and delivering results.2 years' experience with workforce planningAt least two years of experience leading and coaching others, either directly or indirectly.Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Leadership Development, Human Resources, or a related discipline; PhD preferredSolid understanding of business concepts, strategic alignment and identification of talent implicationsDemonstrated ability to use diagnostic skills to translate the theory of workforce planning into practical applications that improve business resultsSolid understanding in organizational development, including workforce planning, change management, organizational design, leadership development and broad talent management disciplinesExcellent strategic planning and operational deployment skills; with the ability to integrate and align strategy, people, and activities across functions, processes, and teams; capable of translating a vision and strategy into clear actionable goals.
