Senior Financial Analyst Financial Reporting and Analysis- GSBUJob DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Global Strategic Business Unit (GSBU), based in St. Louis, MO, provides strategic direction for Nestl's Global PetCare business activities. The GSBU interacts with Regional, Zone, and Vevey management groups to align, prioritize, and implement business strategies to optimize the performance of Nestl's global PetCare business.The Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting and Analysis supports the GSBU generating demand function (Marketing, Global Innovation, and Market Development) and the GSBU technical function by providing analyses of PetCare's global performance as viewed by the regions, markets, brands, and segments, to guide and assist them in driving the Global Business Strategy for PetCare understanding. This position supports the extended GSBU organization in each of the following responsibilities:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial Reporting Analysis / Group Control Activities:Deliver high impact financial analysis and insights for the Global NPP business.Key deliverables include:Preparation of monthly dynamic forecast and sales reporting.Preparation of monthly global business dashboard reporting including sales and profit results, market share, analytical comments and insights.Develop category and business insights for inclusion in presentations to Nestl Group and NPP Senior management teams.Review and analyze quarterly results to provide analytical comments to members of the GSBU and Investor Relations in Vevey.Participate in GSBU generating demand staff meetings and provide business updates and analysis.Conduct special financial analysis as needed, including IandR reporting and financial modeling.Maintain Magnitude Product Classification and work with C-GR in Vevey as needed.Annual Capital Planning Process:Support GSBU Operations Team with Capital Envelope financial analysis through:Analysis of proposed capital jobs to assess alignment with global strategic business priorities.Modeling of impact on NNS, OG, OP1 and ROIC at a market, Region, and Global NPP level.Review of project supporting documentation and financial assumptions to ensure reasonableness of projections and correct calculation of project payback periods.Prioritization of capital projects to ensure limited resources are allocated to optimize global NPP.Perform post project reviews for selected capital investment projects.Global Business Strategy / Strategic Assessment Projects:Support GBS Development and Performance tracking through:Collaborate with other team members to develop PetCare Global Business Strategy (GBS).Provide strategic direction for Global PetCare business activities.Responsible for tracking of progress towards GBS targets.Develop and utilize tools to analyze business performance, build financial models and projections based on forecasted growth at geographic and segment level.Participate in conducting strategic portfolio analysis.Analyze global category and market share trends using subscription data and independent research.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):Education:BS Degree in Finance / Accounting or a related discipline.Master's Degree preferred.Experience:Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Financial reporting and analysis.Skills:Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate across functions and all levels of management.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Strong background in financial computer applications.Working knowledge of Magnitude, Essbase, and SAP BW essentials.Ability to build collaborative relationships with Regional and market-level FandC associates.Job: Senior Financial Analyst Financial Reporting and Analysis- GSBUPrimary Location: Saint Louis, MO USOther Location:Career Area: ProfessionalNestle Purina PetCare Companyhttps://nestleusa.taleo.net/careersection/9/jobdetail.ftl?lang=enandjob=19005815Equal Opportunity Employerminorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual
