Historically, the travel requirement for this position has ranged from 80-100%. For now, all KPMG business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only. KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate in State and Local Government for our Consulting practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project plan development performance reporting and tracking, and communication

  • Direct client communication, including status reporting, risk reporting and mitigation, scheduling, and staffing

  • Facilitate outcomes-based team meetings and workshops to achieve team and client goals

  • Coordinate team action items and tasks to maintain on-time project schedule

  • Establish standards by which deliverables will be developed, understand the process used to create the deliverables, and develop deliverables against established standards

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of consulting and business experience focused on IT consulting services to State and Local Government agencies

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; concentrations in Business, Management Information Systems, Economics, Industrial Engineering, and Accounting preferred

  • Experience supporting current technology modernization and business transformation projects through conducting interviews, performing data analysis, creating requirements documentation, documentation of findings, identification of project risks, support the development of risk mitigation strategies, and support the execution of key deliverables and work products

  • Knowledgeable in application development/modernization and SDLC and/or Agile development approaches and experience with performing business and/or IT assessments

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral with the ability to lead teams and function at times with limited oversight.

  • Ability to travel up to 80%
