U.S. Bank RCA Specialist 2 - AML in SAINT LOUIS, Missouri

Assists in the implementation of an effective risk management framework. Monitors systems, databases, information, processes or procedures. Identifies and escalates matters requiring attention to the appropriate area. Performs work on projects and initiatives, and assists in the assessment and implementation of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Coordinates the collection and/or compilation of data, and compiles and provides reports. May assist in report development and analyzing data. Provides guidance, support and recommendations to Lines of Business and assists in the implementation of Risk/Audit/Compliance initiatives.

Essential Functions:

· Monitor and analyze output of OFAC/Sanctions watchlist screening and/or Business Line escalations, and make independent decisions on appropriate action to take

· Maintain thorough documentation of analysis performed

· Work cooperatively with U.S. Bank internal departments and external contacts to obtain and evaluate necessary information related to the analysis

· Assist with departmental tracking and reporting

· Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all AML, BSA, information security, and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures

· Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas

· Follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position

· Remains current on legal, regulatory AML/BSA, sanctions compliance requirements and actions

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills

· Strong self-motivation and organizational skills

· Basic proficiency with core computer hardware and software

· Participate in peer training/mentoring

· Support special projects

· Assist with basic case work

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • One to two years of experience in regulatory compliance activities, preferably in security, fraud, anti-money laundering and/or financial services

Preferred Skills / Experience:

· Knowledge of OFAC/Sanctions and/or AML/BSA concepts

· Knowledge of U.S. Bank’s operations, systems, and practices within business units

· Prior sanctions adjudication experience
