The Creative Group is seeking an Event Planner for a 6 month CTH, onsite opportunity! Position Overview Under general supervision, the Marketing Communications and Event Specialist will support the global marketing functions with project based activities. Responsibilities 1. Provide event related guidance, advice and support to global office locations and project leads may include; o Idea conception and development of flyers/brochures , meeting materials and collateral items o Complete initial venue research and set a projected budget o Complete hotel and banquet requirements, audio-visual requirements, and production of detailed timetables, and event resumes o Work with sponsor to complete agenda and social activities o Assist speakers with presentation and specific audio-visual needs o Correspond with attendees as per their requirements o Assist with various internal client visits and build both the business and social programs 1. Conference Sponsorship activities may include; o Coordinate sponsorship requirements and request information on possible speaking opportunities with the conference organizing committee o Complete conference registration and appropriate travel arrangements, as required o Coordinate client meetings around the conference, as required o Meet with sponsors to coordinate appropriate marketing tools ( i.e.: organize booth logistics, collateral materials, gift items, key client meetings) 2. Marketing Communications Coordination activities may include; o Organize and coordinate the ordering and distribution of the annual report, holiday cards, client gifts (holiday and otherwise) , and stationary for new and existing hires o Manage printing requirements of documents and large format materials for events and marketing related activities. o Order and maintain stock of marketing material and create marketing packages for client packages, as required o Purchase and maintain stock of promotional items and online orders Requirements ? Intermediate Microsoft Office ? Ability to lead projects to fruition; proven project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. ? Organized, detail-oriented ? Ability to allocate tasks to appropriate team ? Ability to remain professional, tactful and flexible ? Ability to work independently. ? Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment and keep abreast of new technologies. ? Ability to interact with staff at all levels ? General business knowledge ? Intermediate oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge ? Exhibit high energy and genuine enthusiasm for department activities. ? Ability to be creative: in writing, brainstorming ? Ability to maintain and organize a variety of files, records, and logs (both on- and off-line). o Familiarity with using the Internet as an information resource to research and locate business-related news and info o 3-5 years' experience in marketing event planning Preferred: ? Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience ?
