Best of all is that we're equally as coordinated with our internal partners - the Sales, Finance, and Operations groups - so the process from source to bowl continues to be better than ever!The Demand Planning Analyst will work closely with the sales and marketing team to gather data, analyze and interpret as well as recommend improvements to forecasting. You will be responsible for forecasting product demand for purchasing and manufacturing within Merrick at Purina.Primary responsibilities:Continuously improve Demand Planning forecast accuracy and biasInterface and collaborate with sales team, customer facing team and marketing to compile and gather data for accurate forecastingRegularly review forecasts and recalibrate forecast models as required, monitor forecast quality measures and initiate corrective actions as necessaryEvaluate input data quality (i.e. sales estimates, promotion plans, product data) and respond to Demand Planning forecast inquiries in a timely mannerInvestigate significant forecast deviations from actual shipments and communicate to Supply ChainProvide baselines to account teams and gain alignment; provide training and education on planning processes and analyze forecasts for patterns, trends, and improvement areas, collaborate with account teams on forecast estimates, and present and interpret forecast information to leadership teamProduce and improve upon key performance indicatorsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree1 years' experience in a demand planning, supply chain, business analytics or related roleIt is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.To our veterans and separated service members, you're at the forefront of our minds as we recruit top talent to join Nestl Purina.
