This Business Initiatives Consultant 3 will be part of the Branch Banking Business Performance and Incentive Management Team. This team is within the Branch Banking Chief Accountability Office. The Business Performance and Incentive Management team is responsible for oversight and education on Business Performance to all levels of leadership within Branch Banking, leading business strategy and design for our incentive compensation plans, and coordinating performance management plans, monitoring and communications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Become subject matter experts on the new My Dashboard, working to identify monitoring and controls around all metrics included in the new iteration, documenting controls gaps and shepherding new monitoring and controls through to completion. Develop training and implementation plan/ materials in collaboration with the BDO leveraging the Customers First approach to how we rollout new initiatives. Review business processes to ensure appropriate risk mitigation strategies are employed and/or coordinate with appropriate groups to create and deploy new mitigation strategies. Perform ongoing monitoring of Outliers

  • Provide support to the strategy and design of new incentive compensation plans in partnership with Total Rewards.

  • Lead effort to retire the programs and shepherd activities needed to ensure orderly closure of program including communicating with both internal and external partners and regulators on the program retirement. Establish success criteria for Performance Objectives for branch banking team members for 2021 in partnership with Total Rewards. Lead efforts to build risk mitigation structure around Plan My Day and Lead My Branch strategic initiatives.

  • Evaluate the need and potential for establishing Minimum Performance standards (tied to Plan My Day and Lead My Branch) and Minimum Production Standards for bankers and present options and recommendations to leadership for evaluating performance and re-instituting an accountability culture. Engage partners from Risk, Compliance, Sales Practices Office, Legal, Total Rewards, etc. to provide credible challenge and support.

The preferred location is St Louis, MO however other Wells Fargo HUB locations may be considered.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of financial services experience

  • 5 + years of experience gathering, analyzing and interpreting large datasets

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

Desired Qualifications:

  • Incentive design experience

  • Microsoft Excel spreadsheets experience importing, exporting, and manipulating data

  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all internal organizational levels

  • Ability to prepare and present senior level communications

  • Ability to strategically analyze data and diagnose opportunities and interventions

  • Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
