Job TitleAsst Manager Client AcctJob Description SummaryAct as primary contact for accountants, regarding general questions or trouble-shooting issues, with the Accounting Manager as secondary contact when a resolution cannot be reached. Responsible to perform accountant responsibilities for an assigned portfolio of properties.Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES - Ensure team members understand client and property management goals for each property assignment; inspire collaboration between the two - Escalate issues to Accounting Manager when property management requests conflict with the Delineation of Duties - Serve as a neutral escalation point for clients, property management, and accounting to mediate as needed - Perform financial statement reviews of accountants work to ensure it meets quality control and audit compliance requirements - Perform regular and recurring accounting functions requiring professional competency - Generate, review, analyze, and communicate financial data that reflects actual financial performance against approved budgets - Analyze and/or assist with analysis of accounting transactions and auditing - Prepare general ledger journal entries and analysis of accounts - Prioritize and maintain organization of a high volume work load; monitor and evaluate workload of others - Prepare bank reconciliations checking, money market, and security deposit accounts - Review invoices to ensure proper recording of accounts payable and accounts receivable - Create and distribute accurate internal and external reports - Create and maintain computer-based account files - Prepare tenant, CAM, special reports, or other property management items, as required - Track and manage all aspects of broker accounts; address questions and inquiries - Contribute to ideas for and execution of special projects and other department initiatives - Assist with coordinating new hire training - Coach interns, accountants, and accounting assistants - Review all team member requests for checks and wire transfers, prior to submittal for authorization and signature, to ensure appropriate supporting documentation according to company guidelines contracts, purchase orders, and lien waivers obtained - Ensure that all wire transfers and ACH transactions are executed in an accurate and timely manner - Ensure that all financial report packages are prepared in a timely manner to meet internal and external client-driven deadlines - Ensure that report packages are accurate, complete, and consistent with clients requirements - Maintain and update all property set-up information within each accounting software system - Coordinate the transition of all accounting data and client-specific policies and procedures for new business assignments - Organize and lead team meetings as needed - Assist Accounting Manager with goal-setting on teams to meet department objectivesREQUIREMENTS - Bachelor Degree - 4+ years of accounting experience - Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand - Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displaysCushman and Wakefield provides equal employment opportunity.
