Charter Spectrum Accounts Payable Specialist in Saint Louis, Missouri

JOB SUMMARYUnder general supervision, responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, including data entry, check processing and file maintenance.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESActively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceInput accounts payable into the accounting system, generate check reports, and mail to vendorsResearch invoices both paid and unpaid as neededReview invoices and payable vouchers for correct coding, sufficient documentation, and authorizationReceive telephone inquiries from vendors and district personnel and respond to their questions as neededMaintain records and files in accordance with established filing systemPerform basic mathematical procedures when reconciling or coding invoicesPerform other duties as requested by supervisorPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSkills / Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straight-forward mannerAbility to lift and carry boxed vouchers weighing up to 20 lbs. in performance of job dutiesAbility to plan, prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional and pleasant mannerAbility to work independentlyKnowledge of basic accounting proceduresKnowledge of cable television products and servicesKnowledge of personal computer operation and software applications i.e. Accounts Payable applications, Microsoft officeEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentRelated Work Experience Number of YearsAccounts Payable work experience 1-3WORKING CONDITIONSOffice environmentThe Spectrum brand is powered and innovated by Company .
