Citigroup Credit Portf Officer in O'Fallon, Missouri

The Credit Portfolio Officer is a senior-level position responsible for leading activities related to credit review and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit risk in coordination with the broader Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to monitor Citi's portfolio credit loss exposure and manage loss forecast, including CitiMortgage, US Retail Bank and Small Business portfolios. Responsibilities: Use statistical models in a Risk Management framework to estimate credit losses and loss reserve requirement based on current portfolio performance, loan characteristics, and macro-economic assumptions, and internal/external headwinds. Utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment on a regular basis to perform risk, financial and data analyses Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on portfolio performance and areas of potential risk and/or opportunity, and supporting analysis for credit loss predictions Understand applicable credit policies, industry regulations and the accounting guidance for forecasting the appropriate level of credit losses Utilize econometric model forecasts and understand dynamics including the likelihood of default or prepayment forecasts. Conduct sensitivity analyses under various economic assumptions and variance walk between forecasts and actual figures Maintain thorough ongoing process and decision documentation. Manage the audit and control environment through the quality assurance framework, end-user computing portal, audit self-assessments, and interact with internal/external auditors Qualifications: 3-5+ years of experience in credit risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry Experience in using econometric/statistical models; Proficiency in writing SAS codes, including macro language, for statistical and modeling analyses; Proven ability to analyze portfolio performance and credit risk toward business goals Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills Education: Master's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in statistics, economics, or related field.
