The attorney in this role will provide legal support for US Consumer federal and state law and regulation, particularly for how these changes can be incorporated in Citi’s regulations change management process and inventory of regulations. In this capacity, the attorney should have experience with or be comfortable with key compliance processes related to changes in regulations. This attorney will be part of legal teams working with business management and will focus primarily and be relied on as an expert on regulatory and compliance matters including with regard to credit cards, other unsecured lending products, retail bank depository products, mortgage products and wealth products.

The attorney will report in to the US Consumer group.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have extensive experience in federal and state consumer credit and banking laws and regulations, including the Truth-in-Lending/Regulation Z, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act/Regulation B, the Fair Credit Reporting Act/Regulation V, Electronic Funds Transfers/Regulation E, and UDAAP.

Candidate must have:

  • A Juris Doctor degree

  • A license in good standing to practice law in at least one state

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proven analytical and organizational skills

  • At least 8 years of experience in the practice of law and relevant experience in the bank and financial services industry.
