What You Will Do
The Manager, Actuarial Projects Medicare Advantage partners with Operations and Finance Leadership to review contract language and analyze claims, operations, and financial data to determine risk and forecast performance of our value based ACO contracts. Target locations for thisposition areNashville TN, Milwaukee WI or Austin TX.
Oversees contract model development to illustrate potential financial outcomes under value based program participation for designated ministry markets
Provides insights to contracting team on contract terms that will allow for strong financial outcomes
Completes financial modeling of opportunities on potential Medicare Advantage and Medicare ACO agreements
Completes analysis on drivers of financial performance for Medicare Advantage and MSSP value based contract performance including risk adjustment and medical cost analysis
Presents reports, explaining their implications to stakeholders, and advising on risk limitation
Manage a small group of actuarial analysts
Contribute to the expansion of the actuarial department by supporting strategic initiatives
What You Will Need
Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field required.
ASA or FSA professional designation preferred.
Eight to ten years progressive experience in the health & welfare plans actuarial service line, with experience in multiple discipline actuarial service lines.
At least three years of Medicare Advantage actuarial, or related, experience preferred.
Experience working for a consulting firm is preferred.
