What You Will Do
As an Associate with Ascension, you will have the opportunity to performa variety of administrative duties to support the assigned department(s).
Compose, typeand transcribecorrespondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required.
Receiveand screenvisitors and telephone calls, and handles general inquiries.
Schedule/coordinatemeetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements.
Establishand maintainfiling systems.
Process on a timely basis travel expense reports, timecards, check requests, requests for invoice payments.
Compos correspondence ensuring 100% accuracy of spelling and syntax.
Managthe mail (incoming, outgoing and email) and time sensitive deadlines by sorting, prioritizing and communication with Leaders.
Keep an up-to-date computerized address book of contacts that is coordinated with phone, PDA and laptop computer access.
Organizeand monitorcalendars using desktop software (schedule appointments, meetings, conference rooms, telephone calls and conferences).
Managethe mail (incoming and outgoing) and time sensitive deadlines by sorting and prioritizing.
Maintainfiling system, including all correspondence, projects and other departmental logistics.
Composeand typeroutine correspondences, reports and other documents.
Preparepresentations including PowerPoint slides and packets for distribution in meetings.
Performother duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Post high school education and training is preferred.
Secretarial skills, including proficient use of office equipment is required.
Computer capabilities in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software are required.
Excellent attention to detail, communication and grammar skills are required, along with the essential ability to function independently, professionally and efficiently.
