Central Power Systems & Services Inventory Analyst in Liberty, Missouri

PRIMARY FUNCTION:This position will be an integral component of the Parts Department, by that ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy.
This position is responsible for the fulfillment of the following functions:
Develop a policy of running a series of inventory reports on daily, weekly and/or monthly basis and performing a detailed analysis of the individual item performance (item specific inventory turns).
Identify ‘heavy’ and ‘low turn’ inventory items and maintain communication reports for the Branch operations team (Branch Managers and Parts Managers).
Perform inventory adjustments (quantity and cost variance analysis).
Update system price files as often as needed.
Develop accurate, consistent upgrades/enhancements to the inventory reporting structure.
Conduct the annual inventory process.
Ensure that Branch staff are performing proper validations of received merchandise to description and package details from original Purchase Order.
Manage the RMA (Return Material Authorization) process. Includes item documentation - tracking, and adjusting.
Input product description information in current inventory management system(s).
Develop and execute policies and procedures related to Fraud Prevention process / controls
Develop and execute policies and procedures related to inventory audits
Assist in invoice reconciliation with the Warranty and Accounting departments.
Develop and then maintain an accurate listing of all branch stale dated inventories
Reduce current stale dated inventory to acceptable corporate levels through factory returns/sales and/or disposal.
Maintain the stale dated inventory level by factory returns/sales/disposal of the “new” products as they roll into this queue.
Develop mechanism for disposal of stale dated inventory.
A high school diploma is required. College or technical school training in Warehouse Management or a related area is preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Inventory Control /System Analysis.
General skill requisites
Thorough knowledge of computers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Regular and predictable full time attendance is an essential function of this position.
Specific skill requisites
A good working knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Word.
Proven ability to take full accountability for ROI analysis
