GEHA Senior Solutions Analyst in Lee’s Summit, Missouri

The Solutions Analyst conducts technical research to provide application analysis support and guidance to the Product Owner. They work closely with Solution Architects and the development team to implement web and mobile solutions using Agile and the Scrum framework. They possess deep domain knowledge within web and mobile development including database design, APIs and systems integrations and are responsible for translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Owner and other stakeholders to develop a functional requirements and specifications in the form of Epics, Features and User Stories.

  • Ability to Isolate key issues, review possible solutions, and present a recommendation.

  • Analyze and understand the current state and use critical thinking skills to determine the most appropriate next step.

  • Work with Product Owner to set sprint goals and come to agreement on deliverables for MVP. (Minimum Viable Product)

  • Ability to work with development team on breaking down requirements into work deliverables.

  • Analyze and map all relevant business processes and IT infrastructure.

  • Research any rules that might impact solution delivery, such as compliance, data governance, or organizational mandates.

  • Make recommendations for solutions that deliver organizational goals.

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of solutions.

  • Report progress to Product Owners throughout the project lifecycle

  • On call support duties

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Requires 8+ years of relevant technical or business work experience with demonstrated experience within web and mobile application development.

  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.

  • Additional years of qualifying work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

  • Knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server including the ability to create and run SQL scripts

  • Ability to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures.

  • Proven database, API, and systems integration experience.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed.

  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to conduct research into software development and delivery concepts, as well as technical application issues.

  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

  • Very strong customer service orientation.

  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Preferred:

  • Health Care Industry Preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps product

  • Knowledge of Service Now Incident Management Platform
