The Corporate Treasury team that has a significant impact on UMB’s balance sheet by managing the available for sale investment portfolio and wholesale funding needs. Within the Corporate Treasury, environment, this team interacts with internal partners and external partners to provide analysis and financial reporting. With our robust training to provide extensive UMB and financial knowledge, the Corporate Treasury team provides financial modeling and supporting analysis to assist in the development and reporting for financial risk.
The Treasury Analyst is a specific and impactful function for UMB by gathering data from internal systems and the market to undertake processes. The Corporate Treasury team are subject matter experts that assist to provide analysis and recommendations on interest rate risk, liquidity risk, financial planning and balance sheet management strategies.
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for working with internal systems and market data to provide financial modeling and analysis for internal and external partners. Through modeling, analysis, and reporting, this position provides insight into risk and recommendations to senior management so they can make vital decisions. The Treasury Analyst also gathers information and manages monthly reporting. You can expect a fast-paced environment with unpredictable scenarios while maintaining flexibility and adaptability to line of business needs. How you’ll spend your time:
You will be a member of the team developing, executing and maintaining financial risk models, analysis, and processes in UMB’s corporate treasury.
You will need strong communication skills to inform people of your analysis and explain the results to a non-technical audience.
You will need to have strong attention to detail to spot things out of the ordinary while working in large data models.
We’re excited to talk with you if:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university.
3 years’ experience in Finance/Banking, Auditing or a Risk Management role.
Experience using an asset/liability management model, Funds Transfer Pricing model, data science and querying, banking product pricing models, Excel, Power BI, R, or SAS.
