This position will be located in Kansas City, MO
Provides a broad range of Finance/Accounting services to Division management
In support of strategic objectives, this position interacts with FM&T leaders and NNSA Finance counterparts, to lead financial activities and resolve tax related business issues
Provides leadership to Division with primary support in of State and Federal taxes for the CFO organization
Anticipates business needs and develops analytical data to support decision making
Acts independently to uncover and resolve tax related issues. Implements initiatives in partnership with FM&T leadership in support of the organization's strategic objectives
Demonstrates the ability to communicate financials to the business units
Ensures compliance with established Accounting policies and procedures and NNSA regulations and helps ensure a sound internal controls environment
Solves complex issues related to the interpretation and application of tax policies and procedures, and explores alternative solutions to improve company's financial reporting
Understands how to research and setup various states for payroll and sales and use tax
Responsible for 1099 tax compliance
Integrates with Corporate Tax on policies and procedures
Manages multiple priorities to satisfy emerging business requirements
You Must Have:
Seven (7) years' experience in progressively responsible positions in Finance/Accounting and/or budgets
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting; or Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with equivalent education consisting of sufficient hours to qualify for a major in Accounting at an accredited university or a minimum of 7 years Honeywell Finance experience
Knowledge of Peoplesoft Financials
Knowledge of tax rules and policies in MO and KS
