The Supervisor is responsible for the enterprise fixed asset control processes as well as other accounting processes – ensuring that work is completed in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), that work is performed efficiently, and that proper controls exist over these activities. The Supervisor manages the work of assigned senior/staff accountants, planning work to ensure timely and accurate completion. Supervisor responsible for coaching and developing staff to promote department commitment to financial integrity and expanded financial analysis to support internal controls and business decisions. Supervisor completes complex accounting reviews and analysis for higher risk accounts and may perform related journal entries and account reconciliations. Supervisor reviews the work of staff, including journal entries, account reconciliations, budget and trend analysis, and internal control documentation. Supervisor provides and lends accounting expertise when working the financial planning team on capital planning, financial improvement initiatives, and financial forecasts. The supervisor also works on information system implementations and other special projects to optimize fixed asset processing and other controls.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
And 5 -7 years Accounting Experience with progressive responsibility in leading teams or supervising projects
CPA Certified Public Accountant preferred
Software Application Skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
