Senior Associate Consultant

Job Description:

As a Senior Associate Consultant on the Cerner Contract Management Team, you will consult with clients on the implementation of Cerner Contract Management for Millennium. As a Senior Associate Consultant for the CCM Team, you will serve as a subject matter expert for CCM and have base knowledge of Cerner Patient Accounting. You will have a high level knowledge of Cerner’s Revenue Cycle solutions including: claims, billing, coding, charge capture and variance analysis.The preferred candidate will also understand the basics of insurance payer contract analysis and have familiarity with governmental and commercial contract reimbursement. In addition, you will consult with clients on service line workflows, including current state and future state, and work with the client to map out how the CCM system will be designed and tested. You will identify, resolve and report solution status, risks, and issues to client and project leadership, coach clients on data collection and system design requirements and analyze to determine optimal solution build implementation. You will also consult with internal project and organizational teams to provide project timelines, project updates and verify configuration requests. As a key member of the team you will maintain client relationships and navigate through conflict and complex relationship situations to achieve business objectives, coach and mentor associate consultants and support internal team initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care, Business or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 1 year of software implementation work experience

  • At least 1 year of front- facing client consulting work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of health care information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or support work experience

  • Experience working with Cerner’s Revenue Cycle solutions

  • Experience with Managed Care Contracting and Commercial and Governmental reimbursement programs

  • Previous Contract Management system work experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

  • HFMA CRCR Certification (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative)


  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time

  • Must live in, or relocate to, Kansas City, MO; or live within 60 miles of an approved virtual city
