Job Description:

H&R Block, the world’s leader in tax preparation services, is looking for a technically savvy Project Manager to support our Talent Acquisition function. At HRB, Talent Acquisition is a very important function! Our team helps to hire and onboard upwards of 70,000 seasonal professionals every year in addition to our regular hiring, which means we are a critical and valued part of our business.

This is a pivotal role that helps H&R Block achieve high volume hiring goals by managing our enterprise wide talent acquisition systems, operational processes, projects, and programs. You’ll also help us to remain on the cutting edge of innovation by staying abreast of industry and technology trends and pushing to constantly evolve our processes by leveraging technology.

This position may be filled as a Sr. Project Manager depending upon experience level.

  • Administering H&R Block’s Applicant Tracking System within the IBM Kenexa Talent Suite (Brassring and Onboard modules)

  • Maintaining system automation, logic, and workflows (Kenexa Rules Automation Manager)

  • Creation and systems maintenance of high-volume requisitions

  • Reporting and analytics using a variety of tools, including IBM Data Insights, IBM Digital Analytics, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Troubleshooting, issue resolution, and partnership with vendor(s) for issue support as needed

  • Supporting Talent Community/Candidate Relationship Management tools (Avature platform)

  • Serving as the key point of contact for multiple recruiting and hiring vendors

  • Owning a variety of projects, ranging in complexity, to support the ongoing recruiting and hiring needs of H&R Block’s field seasonal and corporate recruiting teams

  • Consulting on system changes, integrations, issues, and training topics with our Talent Acquisition teams and other key stakeholders

  • Understanding candidate behavior to aid in creating the best candidate experience for H&R Block.

  • Leverage your in depth knowledge of data to create stakeholder presentations for proactive recruitment strategies.

  • Other duties as designed


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related area, or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience.

  • 2+ years project management or systems administration experience.

  • Experience working with recruiting, hiring, and/or human resources systems preferred

  • Familiarity with formal project management methodologies.

  • Demonstrated decision-making, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and project planning tools.

  • Experience with the following HR systems highly preferred: IBM Kenexa Brassring, IBM Kenexa Onboard, Avature CRM, and PeopleSoft HR or Workday Recruiting.
