UMB Bank Ops Data & Process Analyst in Kansas City, Missouri

What You'll Do:

The Operations Data & Process Analyst role will increase the productivity and/or effectiveness of operations teams through technical innovation, reducing or eliminating manual processes and automating complex tasks. Accountable for a range of tactical and strategic responsibilities including: implement and manage RPA, automate metric reporting, update procedures, assist with training on new processing, analytics and reporting. Studies organizational processes and operations and develops quality and efficiency improvements.

Specific duties include:

¿ Partner with operations teams to learn multiple tasks and functions as part of understanding business need and risk potential.

¿ Evaluates internal processes and identifies opportunities for improvements.

¿ Gathers data for key performance indicators for functions being reviewed, evaluates current state, and proposes future state goals and objectives.

¿ Measures results of implemented improvement strategies and modifies continuous improvement programs in response.

¿ Provide ongoing analysis of operations performance, identify efficiency opportunities, apply proper hypothesis testing, and make insightful recommendations.

¿ Standardize reporting and create dashboards with emphasis on efficiency, effectiveness and business impact. Deliver ongoing operational key performance metrics; create automated and ad-hoc custom reports to analyze productivity.

¿ Own the technical aspects of RPA (robotic process automation). In partnership with other internal subject matter experts, manage/troubleshoot bots that are in production and help define new processes using bot technology.

¿ May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.

¿ 25% of time will be spent performing operations tasks to learn, to understand a process in order to provide solutions, and/or to help cover as needed. 75% of time will be spent implement and manage RPA, automate metric reporting, update procedures, assist with training on new processing, analytics and reporting. Studies organizational processes and operations and develops quality and efficiency improvements

In this Role, You will Need:

  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and quantitative skills; able to generate insights from data and translate into actionable changes

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience

  • SharePoint experience

  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and pays keen attention to detail

  • Demonstrates strong ability to write, present, share ideas and articulate concepts

  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills to make decisions based on limited precedents or guidelines

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor¿s degree or equivalent

  • Four (4) to Six (6) years processing analysis & modeling experience

  • Any combination of education, skills and experience that will provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with RPA (Robotic Process Automation)

  • 2+ years of financial services industry experience

  • Knowledge of workflow technology and/or FileNet
