Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Management Analyst (Regional Examination) CG-343-09/11/12, Temporary NTE 1 Year in Kansas City, Missouri

Summary

This position is located in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP) in the Kansas City Regional Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of developing reports and conducting analysis to assist regional management. The selectee will work from their current duty location.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, generate, and analyze management reports on examination activities, processes, performance measures, and staffing resources to include regional examination activities, projected workload and resource needs, ad hoc reports to assist regional management on business decisions, and workflow reports to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Provide recommendations to regional management based on the evaluation of reports, projections, and data and identify actionable opportunities to provide products and services that are of high quality, timely, and cost effective to contribute to the achievement of corporate, divisional, and regional goals.

  • Develop the scope and conduct periodic data integrity reviews of FDIC system.

  • Complete multiple work products with short deadlines such as management reports, ad hoc analysis of data, and draft presentations for the Washington Office or regional management.

  • Prepare and deliver written presentations to applicable audiences including regional management and territory supervisors from reports, data, and information gathered to gauge current performance, changes in strategic focus, staffing priorities, and resource limitations.

  • Prepare and deliver oral presentations to applicable audiences including regional management and territory supervisors from reports, data, and information gathered to gauge current performance, changes in strategic focus, staffing priorities, and resource limitations.

  • Conduct governance responsibilities for the administration and management of regional Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection SharePoint sites including timely updating of content such as guidance, resources, tools, and training.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT FOR 1 YEAR. The selectee will be given a temporary promotion if eligible. This temporarypromotion may be terminated early; it cannot be extended nor can it be made permanent. If the duration of the temporary promotion is one year or less, the employee will be returned to a position that is comparable to his or her permanent position (i.e., same series, grade, and duty location) in the same or successor Division/Office. At the end of the temporary promotion, the employee’s basic pay will be set at the rate received prior to being temporarily promoted,regardless of length of the temporary promotion. Pay rate shall be increased to reflect pay increases (if any) received while temporarily promoted, as long as the resulting rate does not exceed the new range maximum.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify for the grade 09, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 07 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience gathering data and generating reports to assist management in evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of an office or region. OR

EDUCATION: Education may be substituted for experience in qualifying for this position. If qualifying based on education, applicant mustpossess: a master’s or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B. or J.D.) or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education. OR

Combination of education and experience: A combination of graduate level education beyond the first full year of graduate leveleducation, and specialized experience as described above, that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.

To qualify for the grade 11, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 09 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience generating reports and reviewing data to identify discrepancies in order to assist management in monitoring examination activities and processes, performance measures, or staffing resources.

Education: Education may be substituted for experience in qualifying for this position. If qualifying based on education, applicant mustpossess: a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education. OR

Combination of education and experience: A combination of graduate level education as described above, beyond the second full year of graduate education, and specialized experience as described above that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.

To qualify for the grade 12, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience generating and analyzing reports to provide management with recommendations in monitoring examination activities and processes, performance measures, or staffing resources.
