The Loan Review Analyst III will perform reviews of bank's commercial loans to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.
The Loan Review Analyst III will be able to perform the following tasks:
Performs reviews of bank's commercial loans to ensure compliance with established policies and standards with limited oversight.
Reviews complex loans with minimal supervision.
Analyze credit data and financial statements of individuals or firms to determine the degree of risk involved and the appropriate risk rating.
Generate financial ratios to evaluate customer's financial status.
Prepares reports summarizing analysis and conclusions.
Presents results to senior management when assigned.
Review files for appropriate documentation.
Performs other reviews as assigned.
Responds to questions from loan officers and management.
May provide functional and technical direction to other staff members.
Assists to ensure department is meeting goals including meeting ongoing reporting deadlines.
Leads training and development on special projects and initiatives.
Mentor to Loan Review Analyst I and II.
Assists management in monitoring processes and work flow. Recommends changes for process improvement to increase efficiency.
Based upon review findings, assists in developing recommendations for improvement to the Board and Senior management.
In the absence of Loan Review Manager may act as Supervisor.
May serve as team leader for assigned projects.
Regular attendance required, working at the work site during regular business hours and/or assigned hours
The Loan Review Analyst III will perform reviews of bank's commercial loans to ensure compliance with established policies and standards. Has extensive knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within lending and credit analysis. The Loan Review Analyst III will generally have five or more years of experience with loan review, credit analysis or similar work experience. The Loan Review Analyst III will generally possess an undergraduate degree in either the field of accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of assigned tasks with limited oversight. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Five or more years loan review experience.
Banking and financial analysis experience.
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Access.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to summarize and present complex financial data in an organized, concise manner.
Must be able to work independently and have the ability to interact with coworkers, management, auditors and regulators.
The work environment is typical of a standard office setting. The position is sedentary, exerting 0 -- 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. It involves sitting most of the time but may also involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Reaching may be required involving extending arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone will be used requiring the use of hands and fingers to manipulate a keyboard or keypad. Visual ability to read a computer screen or written documents is necessary. Speaking ability to express or exchange ideas; impart oral information to customers or to the public; or convey detailed or important spoken instructions by means of the spoken word is required. Hearing is necessary to receive detailed information through oral communication.
