  1. Security and Background Requirements: If not previously completed, a background security investigation will be required for all appointees. Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service (or equivalent) in the normal line of progression for this occupation as stated below.

Qualifying experience for GS-05,includes one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-04 in the Federal service which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience may include: entering and maintaining case records into an electronic database; providing information on case status; preparing written correspondence; and coordinating meetings.

Successful completion of four years of education above high school level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
