Resources For Human Development, Inc. Lead Community Integration Specialist in Kansas City, Missouri
The Lead Community Integration Specialist will be responsible to collaborate with the Program Director on the coordination and provision of community-based services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Lead Community Integration Specialist works in partnership with individuals supported to find desirable, meaningful social and leisure activities which match their interests, and facilitate the individuals engagement in those activities. These activities may include socializing, activities related to hobbies, religious activities, civic or volunteer activities, etc.
The Lead Community Integration Specialist will assure supports for day, evening, and weekend activities at one or more locations as determined by the individuals needs. The Lead Community Integration Specialist will be required to carry caseload and provide direct care to individuals in the program as well as maintain office hours for program oversight. The Lead Community Integration Specialist will have some on-call responsibilities based on the need of the program.
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Valid driver s license, insurance and reliable transportation on shift.
Successfully pass all required background checks.
Able to complete and maintain all necessary training and certification requirements.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.
Strong leadership skills.
Proficient with technology.
Knowledge of resources available in the community.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some night or weekend hours.
