Digital Analytics Manager
H&R Block, the world’s leader in tax preparation services, is looking for a Digital Analytics Manager responsible for gathering, structuring and analyzing data to derive insights that drive the optimization of media initiatives. This position is located at our corporate office, in the premier downtown Power & Light district of Kansas City, just steps or a streetcar ride away from countless restaurants and entertainment venues. About the position:
The Digital Analytics Manager will implement and design the optimization routines by interpreting the resulting data and making strategic and tactical recommendations to increase online sales, improve user experiences and achieve other key business objectives.
In collaboration with Corporate Analytics and media managers to develop customized analytics for digital advertising, email, and online sales metrics using reporting technologies including online analytic tools (e.g., Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics) and traditional reporting/analysis platforms (e.g., Tableau, Excel).
Analyze disparate data points – advertising, sales, web and mobile traffic – to develop holistic understanding of user trends.
Recommend and audit changes to web analytics code to enable tracking of online properties. Ensure relevant traffic and key performance metrics are captured in order to provide actionable insights.
Support planning, tactical execution and optimization of the customer experience.
Support the strategy, creation, execution, and analyses of A/B and multivariate tests to optimize for core business goals.
Own, create, manage, and distribute reports and KPI dashboards to effectively communicate insights and recommendations.
Monitor, analyze and optimize website activity, traffic trends, SERP rankings and customer acquisition.
Interact with and support a variety of teams and individuals within the organization to make data-driven business decisions aimed at growth.
What you'll bring to the team:
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science or related quantitative degree.
Minimum 5 years relevant digital analytics experience required. Minimum 3 years digital analytics experience in a retail environment preferred.
Expert knowledge of web and ecommerce analytics, including Google Analytics and other industry-standard web analytics platforms, such as Adobe Analytics (Omniture), etc.
Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Knowledge of best practices and experience with implementing/managing site tags (Google Tag Manager), report generation, interpretation, and data visualization.
Experience providing project hind-sighting, partner with Marketing and Finance to provide metrics input and assist with quantifying sales drivers from technology enhancements.
Experience working with a range of website analytics reporting programs and tools.
Regular, predictable onsite attendance is required to perform the essential functions involving interacting with co-workers and managers, as well as the operation of equipment and/or materials located on site.
It would be even better if you also had:
Experience with A/B and multivariate testing tools such as Test & Target,
Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.
Ability to troubleshoot, identify patterns, and generate new approaches to reporting.
Ability to understand and help gather business reporting requirements that meet business needs.
