Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies. The Cash Application Specialist works with the Accounts Receivable team in performing the full accounts receivable duties, including functions such as billing, cash collections, and account reconciliations.
Call customers in attempt tocollect outstanding amounts due to company.
Obtains and sends invoice copies forcustomers, as requested.
Answers accounts receivable phoneinquiries and follows up.
Researches and performs accountreconciliations with customers.
Researches and processes charge backs,returns, and bad checks.
Assists in monthly closing, billingaudits, etc., meeting corporate deadlines.
Assists with related special projects,as required
Daily reviews, researches, and postscash, checks, credit cards, and electronically transferred funds to customersub-ledger accounts.
Processes checks through the bank whennot sent to our lockbox.
Contacts customers for missing cashapplication information as necessary.
High Schooldiploma or equivalent required
Intermediate Microsoft Excelexperience required
One to two yearsaccounting/finance experience
Associate'sdegree (A. A.) in business or accounting strongly preferred
Navision experience preferred.
